Pella Farms
Inc. Heifer Tallies $4,700 for Braunvieh Juniors Pella Farms Inc., Adams,
Nebraska donated MISS POL PEL OF PEI M246 to the Junior Braunvieh
Association of America for their primary fundraising activity. The October
2002 polled purebred heifer was sired by MR Pella of PFI K005 and was out of
one of Pella Farm's best three-quarter Braunvieh Beef Builder females. PFI
Bugle Boy, one of Pella Farms best young sires, bred the heifer for an early
September 2004 calf. She was presented to Lindy Edwards, Lewisville,
Arkansas at the 2004 Junior National Braunvieh Show, Beatrice, Nebraska.

Carolyn
Schmidt, Godfrey IL was the owner of the Reserve Champion Braunvieh cow-calf
pair at the North American International Livestock Exposition, Louisville,
KY. The reserve winners were PFI Polled Princess K002 and her heifer calf
born June 2004 and sired by PFI Non Stop M201. The cow was sired by GLB
Polled Eagle and was shown by Dave Doeschot, Adams, NE, owner of Pella
Farms, INC. and breeder of the cow and her calf. Carolyn Schmidt purchased
the cow-calf pair in the National Braunvieh sale prior to the show for
$3,150. Shown with the cow are Dave Doeschot and his daughter Traci Johnson,
Downs, KS. |

Association of America President, Tommy Clark, Culpeper, VA. (left) is
awarding the organizations Pioneer Breeder Award for 2004 to Dave Doeschot.
Adams, NE, owner of Pella Farms, Inc. Pella Farms holds the organization's
membership number 19 and was instrumental in the organization's original
formation and structure in 1985. Shown with Dave Doeschot (left to right)
